The privilege of attending Clayton-Bradley Academy
is based upon the premise that parents are committed to their child’s education
and to the principles and programs of Clayton-Bradley Academy.
The Board of Directors and the Admissions Committee have the responsibility to screen new and returning families, relative to such commitments. Students entering kindergarten or first grade should be at least five or six years of age, respectively, before August 15th of the enrollment year.
Students not eligible for admission include:
- Those who have a history of disciplinary problems from previous schools (including but not limited to expulsion).
- Students who have academic deficiencies that cannot be addressed by the Academy (based upon testing, prior school records, or information received from previous instructors).
- Students who have emotional problems that cannot be adequately addressed by the Academy.
- Students who have physical handicaps or learning disabilities for which our programs are not adequately staffed.
The Six Steps to Admission
Complete the online application form: Admissions Application.
Submit your child’s up-to-date immunization and health records to our office. Your doctor has the necessary form required from the State Department of Health and the State of Tennessee. This form must be original and must be signed by the student’s physician. Please include a copy of your child’s birth certificate as well.
Two Letters of Recommendation. Have your child’s teacher, coach, pastor, and/or family acquaintance write a letter of recommendation to Clayton-Bradley Academy.
Student Assessment. After your online application has been received, parents will be contacted by our staff to schedule an assessment appointment for your child. The assessment will take approximately one to two hours, depending on the age and grade level of your child.
Family interview and assessment briefing. After all information has been completed and compiled, the school office will contact you to arrange an interview and assessment briefing with the school’s Executive Director. (Application must be complete and meet Clayton-Bradley Academy minimum standards for a family interview.)
Notification of Acceptance or Denial. You will be informed after the family interview either by mail or in person.
